Eliot Krimsky is a Brooklyn-based composer, songwriter, and pianist whose emotionally complex scores blend intimate piano, atmospheric electronics, and inventive sound design. His score for the award-winning feature Travel Companion has garnered widespread acclaim following its premieres at BAM and the Tribeca Festival. He has also composed music for acclaimed films including Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened (Netflix), This One’s for the Ladies (HBO Max), Supergirl (PBS Independent Lens), and the award-winning indie narrative Girl | Dad.
Known for creating unique sonic worlds that deepen narrative and evoke memory, Krimsky brings a distinctive voice to documentary and narrative filmmaking alike. His music balances emotional subtlety with experimental textures, always in service of story.
In addition to his work for screen, Krimsky has performed internationally, been an artist-in-residence at Performance Space New York, BAM, and the American Dance Institute, and collaborated with artists including Meshell Ndegeocello, Robert Stillman, Domino Kirke, and Here We Go Magic. Outside of film, Krimsky releases solo music under his own name. His latest album, I Made My House (Moon Glyph, 2025), evokes a liminal space of loss where dreams, memories, and the afterlife drift in and out of focus. The record was named Album of the Day by Bandcamp Daily, and has been described by Jonathan Herwig of WFMU as “a beautiful mix of outsider folk, atmospheric electronics, and ethereal multi-layered jazz.
